Our Little Bumps are an elevated version of a pastry delicacy from South West France. Legend has it that this is where they started filling choux shells (chouquettes) with cream.
Many a baker has attempted versions of this notoriously tricky filled delicacy, but all cream-filled choux are NOT equal.
We reject the over-sweetened, glazed and iced Instatok-inspired flavours. Instead we aim for simple bliss, with a recipe based on the “golden taste ratio”.
Our offering consists of an elegant and delicate choux shell filled with a light vanilla cream - weighing in at less than 94 calories, even fitness junkies can take a guilt-free hit.
Our enigmatic founder, Jean-Christophe Coeur-Noire, was obsessively driven by the search for a balanced bake - only a serendipitous accident involving a baster, a meat injector and three chickens led to his discovery of “the golden taste ratio”.
We are prevented under French Law from using the full “golden taste ratio”, but a loophole in the relaxed British legal system means we can get very close.
The choux pastry comes in many forms, from the ubiquitous chouquette - a small unfilled children’s gouter treat available in most boulangeries to the mighty chocolate filled and glazed eclair.

Our mission is a taste profile that transports the taster to another place and time, even for a split second. The look on the taster’s face as they become a junky gives us the inspiration we need to keep baking.
We’ve got nothing but respect for anyone who chooses the baking life, but we reject the insta-centric convention, where heavily calorific pastries are glazed and stuffed with the latest trending filling to feed the algorithm.

Wildfarmed flour - regeneratively grown and by far the best taste profile
French butter, cream and eggs - the frenchies know how to do dairy!
The Little Bumps are baked throughout the day and the secret cream recipe is made daily.
